Jon absolutely crushed it on our wedding day. He ensured that all the sound, speakers, mics, lights, music, and much more was all coordinated for our ketubah signing, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and some surprise performances during dinner. Adam discovered his love for music at an early age, and that passion has shaped his life ever since. By the age of 15, he was already immersed in the industry — a journey that led him to study at The Omega Studios’ School of Applied Recording Arts & Sciences and eventually tour with renowned artists including Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Black Sabbath, Papa Roach, Alan Jackson, Patti LaBelle, and Marc Anthony. These experiences gave him a deep understanding of sound, performance, and production that he now brings to every event.
After years on the road, Adam settled in Annapolis, where he continues to share his expertise as an accomplished audio engineer and DJ, providing exceptional sound and entertainment for weddings, live bands, and private events. His professionalism, technical mastery, and genuine love for music have earned him a reputation for excellence among both clients and peers.
When he’s not behind the console, Adam enjoys time with his loyal dog Han, playing in a local hockey league, and traveling the world with his fiancée — who also happens to be his favorite photographer and diving partner.

With all the chaos leading up to wedding day, Mike was the guy we never had to worry about and he did a great job. First of all, he is just a really nice person and easy to work with - professional, always available to talk, flexible, provided great suggestions and advice, and provides backups for everything so you don't have to worry. He also needs to be the MC for the reception so need someone professional enough to be a DJ and MC. Great at consulting and making suggestions if asked. He kept the dance floor hopping all night long, kept us on schedule all evening and also provided some cool up- lighting that is included in the package. At our wedding, one hour before the ceremony was to begin we were not sure if it would be outside or inside due to potential rain forecast. Mike had work to do to get microphone and music set up for the ceremony and he needed to know soon where to set up. But he was patient and gave us as much time as possible to make that call even though he would cause more work and stress on his side. We did have to move it inside and that was the right call. Mikie - thanks for all you did to make our wedding day special and all the pre-wedding prep. We would highly recommend Mike for wedding DJ services.

The planning process prior to the wedding was great. They have a very easy, intuitive planning form that you fill out with all your song choices, requests, music genres, etc. It also includes a timeline which helped keep our wedding night on track! A few weeks before our wedding we had a meeting with the team to discuss our planning form/music choices and they knocked it out of the park. We wanted more 90s music/rock/jams, and they absolutely listened to us and delivered. We had Jay Crawford as our DJ/MC and he was amazing at keeping the dance floor completely full the entire night. I loved having a live band and a DJ, it was a great mix for all types of music... Overall, DMG and Jay were professional, incredibly talented musicians, and great to work with. What services do you offer beyond DJs?
District Event Co. offers more than traditional DJ entertainment. In addition to DJs and MCs, we provide live musicians, bands, photo booths, lighting, special effects, and AV production services.
Do your DJs also act as MCs?
Yes. Our DJ packages include professional MC services for announcements, introductions, toasts, special dances, and key transitions throughout the event.
Can we request specific songs or genres?
Absolutely. Every event is customized. You can share must-play songs, do-not-play songs, favorite genres, ceremony selections, and special dance music through our planning portal.
Do you offer consultations before the event?
Yes. We schedule a final planning meeting before your event to review music, timeline, announcements, logistics, and any important details. Additional phone or video calls can be scheduled when needed.
What type of equipment do you use?
We use professional sound and lighting equipment, including speaker systems, wireless microphones, dance floor lighting, uplighting, and backup gear.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Yes. We bring backup equipment to help keep the event running smoothly in case something unexpected happens.
Can you provide lighting or special effects?
Yes. We offer uplighting, intelligent dance lighting, LED tubes, cold sparks, CO₂ effects, custom gobos, and low-lying fog, depending on your venue and event needs.
Can you combine DJs with live musicians?

Yes. District Event Co. carries liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance when required by your venue.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding and event dates. Many clients reserve their date 12 to 18 months in advance.

Start by requesting availability and a proposal. Once you review your options, your date is reserved with a signed agreement and retainer.
